Zachariah Howard is a teen killer from Kansas who would plead guilty to the murder of his three week old daughter
According to court documents emergency personnel would go to a home in Wichita Kansas after a 911 call reporting an unresponsive newborn. When emergency personnel arrived they would find three week old Mulani Howard in critical condition. The newborn was rushed to the hospital where she would die from her injuries
An autopsy would reveal that Mulani Howard cause of death was from blunt force trauma and it was ruled a homicide. Zachariah Howard would be questioned by authorities and was soon under arrest and charged with murder
Before his trial was set to begin Zachariah Howard would plead no contest to second degree murder. He will be sentenced at a later date

Zachariah Howard, a 19-year-old from Wichita, pleaded no contest Wednesday to second-degree murder on Thursday.
Howard was charged in connection with the death of 3-week-old Mulani Howard.
The charge stems from an incident that was reported on Sept. 18 of last year.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 21.
A criminal complaint said that Howard “did then and there unlawfully and knowingly torture, cruelly beat, cruelly strike or cruelly kick a child under the age of six years.”
The child’s death was ruled a homicide, and an autopsy showed the child died from blunt force trauma.
A no contest plea means Howard did not admit guilt but accepted the conviction and its consequences.

A teenager has been charged with murder and abuse in connection with the death of his 3-week-old daughter more than three months ago.
Sedgwick County Jail records show 19-year-old Zachariah Howard was booked Monday for first-degree murder and abuse of a child. His first court appearance on those charges is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded at around 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, September 18 to Emery Gardens Apartments in the 4200 block of South Hydraulic. According to police records, they were called to the report of an unresponsive child, who died after being taken to the hospital.
A court document identified the victim as Mulani Howard. According to her obituary, Zachariah Howard was her father. The retired pastor who presided over her funeral said Mulani was just three weeks old.
A criminal complaint states Zachariah did allegedly “knowingly torture, cruelly beat, cruelly strike or cruelly kick” the child.
A Wichita Police Department spokesperson said that since this is a charged case, no additional information would be provided by WPD.
Howard was initially booked on the same counts on September 19, but he was released without prejudice. He’s now being held on $250,000 bond.
