A South Texas teenager has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his mother and then defiling her body.
A Nueces County jury took less than an hour Wednesday in deciding the life sentence for 18-year-old Kevin Jazrael Davis, who pleaded guilty earlier in the week to killing Kimberly Hill.
Prosecutors say Davis in March struck his mother about 20 times with a hammer. He then sexually assaulted her corpse.
KZTV reports when police asked if it was his first time, Davis said, “I guess I lost my virginity to a dead corpse.”
Davis called 911 the next day to say he had killed someone.
Jurors this week were shown a video of Davis’ interview with detectives in which he acknowledged having violent fantasies toward women.
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported that the teen told investigators he’s sane and was aware of his actions in March.

A man sentenced to life in prison for killing his mother with a hammer shrugged and sighed nonchalantly when his sister addressed him Wednesday in a Nueces County courtroom.
Kevin Jazrael Davis, 18, pleaded guilty Monday to murder of Kimberly Hill. A jury was tasked with deciding his fate. It took jurors less than an hour Wednesday to give Davis the maximum sentence of life in prison in 214th District Judge Jose Longoria’s court.
Davis’ sister, Desirae Hill, and grandfather, Cylde Hill, faced him after the sentencing and before he was led away.
“You took the only person who had your back,” Desirae Hill said to him. “Now you are all alone.”
Davis sat stoic as his grandfather spoke through tears to him.
“I don’t know quite what to say to you,” Clyde Hill said. “You killed your mother. You just don’t do that.”
Davis smiled, popped his knuckles and stretched throughout the trial. He waved at witnesses when they were asked to identify him.
Jurors saw a video of Davis interviewing with detectives the day after he killed his mother. Davis told detectives he struck his mother about 20 times with a hammer and raped her after she died on March 26. He described having violent and sexual fantasies involving women, including his mother and sister.
Davis turned himself in to police on March 27. He told detectives he rode his bicycle through the night, intent to leave town. He eventually left the bike and a backpack near train tracks in Annaville and walked to a Robstown house where he asked the couple there to call 911 because he murdered someone.
In the 911 call played for jurors, Davis tells the operator his mother is dead in an apartment and gives the address.
Davis has maintained his sanity and told detectives he is perverted, terrible and disgusting.
“I’m not mentally disturbed. I’m sane. I know what I did,” Davis said in the video.
A doctor testified to diagnosing Davis with a personality disorder but testified he is sane and knows right from wrong.
The district attorney’s office offered Davis 60 years in prison but he rejected it, his attorney James Lawrence said.
The last thing Clyde Hill told his grandson was they won’t see each other again.
“Justice has been done,” Clyde Hill said outside the courtroom. “It’s just a sad situation. You just don’t take your mother’s life.”
