Jacob Blain And Willow Reynolds Case
Two teenagers will spend at least the next 20 years in prison after pleading no contest to killing their roommate in Flint in May 2024.
Jacob Blain, 19, and Willow Reynolds, 19, were sentenced to a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 100 years for second degree murder by Genesee County Circuit Court Judge Mark Latchana on Feb. 24.
Blain and Reynolds also pleaded no contest to armed robbery and unlawfully driving away in a motor vehicle.
Police said Blain and Reynolds killed their roommate because he wanted to have a meeting with them about rules, and they believed he was drugging them.
Blain and Reynolds sprayed 44-year-old Adam Reynolds with mace, stabbed him several times and hit him in the head with a shovel before fleeing the scene in his vehicle, police said.
The homicide took place on May 2, 2024, at a home in the 1100 block of Osceola Street. Adam Reynolds was found by his girlfriend and the two suspects were found living in a tent.
Both suspects admitted to killing Adam Reynolds in statements to police on May 10, according to police records.

Jacob Blain And Willow Reynolds News
Two teens are accused of killing their roommate in Flint during a robbery two weeks ago.
Court records show 19-year-old Jacob Blain and 18-year-old Willow Reynolds are facing four charges for the death of 44-year-old Adam Reynolds at a residence in the 1100 block of Osceola Avenue on Flint’s north side.
Both teenage suspects were arraigned this week on the following charges:
Conspiracy to commit first-degree premeditated murder.
Felony murder.
Armed robbery.
Attempted carjacking.
Blain and Willow Reynolds face up to life in prison with no chance of parole if they are convicted of the murder charges. It was not clear whether Willow and Adam Reynolds are related.
The Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office says Blain and Willow Reynolds lived at the Osceola Avenue residence with Adam Reynolds. They became upset when Adam Reynolds requested a meeting about house rules.
The suspects also believed Adam Reynolds was poisoning them.
They are accused of spraying mace at the victim, stabbing him and hitting him in the head with a shovel several times. Investigators found him dead in the residence on May 2.
Blain and Willow Reynolds allegedly tried to steal Adam Reynolds’ vehicle after his death, but it wouldn’t start.
Both suspects appeared in Genesee County District Court for arraignment on Sunday. They remain in the Genesee County Jail with no bond offered while awaiting further court proceedings on May 23.
